Join the talented members of the University of Tennessee at Martin percussion studio for “Roots of Rhythm,” a dynamic live performance exploring the global influence of the African diaspora on music. Through rhythm, storytelling and audience engagement, this interdisciplinary program blends world history, geography and the arts into an educational and entertaining experience. Designed to align with National Standards for Arts Education, the program highlights how musical traditions have traveled across continents and continue to shape cultures today.
