Fasola Foundation\, Inc.\, this hands-on program combines practical life skills instruction with a creative outlet that supports focus\, confidence and emotional wellness.  \nParticipants will learn the basics of textile and fiber arts while developing skills in planning\, sequencing\, measuring and completing multi-step tasks. Weather permitting\, participants will also have the opportunity to view celestial objects through a telescope\, practice basic astrophotography and download photos taken during the event.  \n  \nYou will discover:  \n\nWhy the Summer Solstice is significant in astronomy and history\nHow ancient cultures tracked seasonal changes using solar markers\nBasic astrophotography techniques for capturing the night sky\nOpportunities for telescope viewing and stargazing \n\n  \nThis event is part of Passport to the Universe\, Discovery Park’s free astronomy education series. This session is the fifth class of the year\, and guests who attend five or more classes in 2026 will receive a commemorative Passport to the Universe patch.
