SUMMARY:Ultimate Crappie Challenge - Fishing Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the First Annual Reelfoot Lake Ultimate Crappie Challenge. It takes place in the world-class crappie fishery of a Bill Dance Signature Lake\, Reelfoot Lake in Samburg\, Tennessee. \n\n\n\n\nThis 18\,000 acre lake\, located in the upper northwest corner\, is the largest natural lake in the state\, formed by an earthquake in 1811-1812 that caused the Mississippi River to flow backward into a shallow basin. Reelfoot is famous for its bluegill and crappie\, which rank among the best in the state. \n\n\n\n\nHours on both days will be announced at the mandatory registration meeting. You may fish by yourself. All weigh-ins will take place at Kirby’s Pocket. \n$10\,000 Guarenteed Winner \n$750 Big Fish per day \nEntry Fee $250 \n

DESCRIPTION:With more than 90 eagle nests and many winter migrating eagles in the Reelfoot Lake area\, Reelfoot Lake State Park invites you to Eagle Festival January 30 to February 1\, 2026.  “Eagle Eye Van Tour” will take you to nest sites and locations where you can see and photograph our national symbol\, the Bald Eagle.  Check out the event schedule for special programs\, contests\, vendors and eagle tours.  The Bird of Prey Show on Saturday at 12:30 and 6:00 is a must-see presentation of birds of prey.   If you cannot attend the Eagle Festival\, tours are available throughout January and February.
