This adults-only program offers a relaxed environment to explore a new artistic technique while enjoying cocktails and light refreshments. \nDuring this session\, guests will learn the art of block printing\, a centuries-old technique that allows artists to carve and print their own designs. Participants will create unique prints while discovering the history and beauty behind this traditional craft. Beginners are welcome\, and no prior experience is necessary. \nGuests are also encouraged to visit Art Hall to view one of the beautiful quilts currently on display that features this historic printing technique. \nYou will discover: \n\n\nThe history and artistic tradition of block printing \n\n\nHow to carve and create your own print design \n\n\nTechniques for transferring designs using carved blocks \n\n\nHow this technique has been used in textiles and decorative arts \n\n\nA charcuterie board and cocktails will be provided. \nThis event is for adults ages 21 and older. \nTickets are $25 for non-members and $15 for Discovery Park members.
